Learn how to make a Cloche
Two Day Workshop

Tierre Taylor, renowned for her exquisite couture cloches, will share her draping secrets and unique trim techniques. You’ll learn to create a custom cloche by draping a felt hood on a balsa block, stabilizing the fit with a sweatband, and reinforcing the shape with millinery wire. Two day Introduction to Tambour beading
Teacher: Robert Haven

This class will provide a basic introduction to the tools, materials and techniques used in traditional tambour beading which is the cornerstone of embellishment in the French Haute Couture industry and Robert Haven’s hands-on teaching style will guide you gently step by step into the romantic world of Tambour Beading. Starting with preparing the fabric on the frame students will progress to learning the basic tambour stitch with thread then move on to adding beads and sequins to the design.

Together with Robert Haven you will practice with two different sequin applications, as well as work with seed beads and bugle beads all of which use the same basic stitch. The front of the design will include surface stitching using the tambour hook with just thread.

Two Day Clutch Making
Teacher: Robert Haven
